[It is with great excitement that we welcome you to the fifth edition of Cape Town Art Fair (CTAF), taking place from 17-19 February 2017 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
Positioned as the leading art fair in Africa, CTAF 2017 includes the foremost galleries from South Africa, the African continent, and abroad.More than 80 local and international exhibitors are presenting quality works alongside a must-see programme of curated exhibitions, special projects, talks, guided walkabouts and a digital media platform.
Tumelo Mosaka, the newly appointed Cape Town Art Fair curator and Laura Vincenti, now the chief operating officer of CTAF, have been leveraging their mutual expertise and international networks to place the Fair on the global art calendar.
Also new to the Fair is the introduction of the Unframed section, museum-quality sculptures and new media installations. Returning to the Fair is Tomorrow/Today, which showcases solo presentations by some of the most exciting emerging artist from Africa and the diaspora, as well as Past/Modern, Cultural Platforms and Editions.
